AUTO MECHANIC SIMULATOR 2018 PS4 MOD
With the right folder chosen you'll see all your mod car folders marked with numbers as well. Then "workshop" -> "content" and if you have more than one folder in there you'll just have to search them as they are named by numbers (at least for me). Back a bit from the CMS folder and to the "steamapps" folder. You can use the same method for mod cars, but they are stored in another folder. Some cars have multiple versions and therefore multiple config files in the car folder named "config1", "config2" etc. Like if you're trying to hunt down a specific car at the junkyard and want to boost the chances of it spawning there, you can simply go to the config of other cars and delete "Junkyard" from the allowed places. You can also delete a place from the list if you don't want said car to be able to spawn there. You may of course have to visit the yard numerous times because of it "competing" with all the other cars for spawn spots. Now you should be able to stumble upon the Echos Cobra at the Junkyard and it will automatically be in a typical junkyard state. You can also add the ability for the car to spawn at barns by adding the text "Shed". Just add, "Junkyard" in the mix like this: "allowedPlaces=Order.10,Junkyard,Auction,Salon." and save the file. It will say something like ".allowedPlaces=Order.10,Auction,Salon." This text bit contains all the places this specific car is able to spawn at, in this case it can appear in repair orders, at the auction house and the car salon (dealership). The part of text you need to locate is in the first line a bit to the right. Of course I'll advice you to save a backup of your car folder before altering anything.

You'll need to alter a bit of text and save the file for the changes to take effect. Find the text file named "config" and open it with Notepad. Let's choose the Echos Cobra folder for an example. Inside the "Cars" folder you'll see a folder for each of the car models in the game (stock cars and DLC's only, the mod cars are stored elsewhere, more on that later). For me the path is: Local Disk (C:) -> Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 -> cms2018_Data -> StreamingAssets -> Cars. First of all you'll need to locate the car folder for your game. Some of you may know this already and some would consider this cheating, but I'll post it here anyway.

That's why I used an easy method to modify the spawning locations for various cars, whether it be to make them able or unable to spawn at certain locations. This game is all about restoring and fixing cars after all. This obviously makes them way more expensive and you'll miss out on the part where you'd otherwise fix that car up from scratch. This goes for many of the modern cars and sports cars. Many of the cars in the game don't spawn in the junkyard nor in barns, making you only able to find them at an auction in a near mint condition or at the car dealership in a 100% condition.
